A man from Michigan thought he was doing the right thing when joining a Zoom call for his court case, but the fact that he was driving while on the call only made things worse.
The defendant, Corey Harris, dialed in to the Zoom call as instructed by his public defender. But when he joined the call, the judge immediately realized that the defendant was driving a vehicle. The judge, who was there to oversee Harris’ case about driving on a suspended license, asked Harris if he was really driving a vehicle right now. Harris responded “Actually, I’m pulling into my doctor’s office, actually. So just give me one second. I’m parking right now.”
The judge had to process what he just saw out loud. He said, “This is a driving while license suspended [case], and he was just driving, and he didn’t have a license.” Harris has since been ordered to turn himself into the county jail. (Yahoo News)
