This is a little scary. Carly Pearce has announced that she has been diagnosed with the heart condition pericarditis – inflammation of the sac that surrounds the heart.

In a post on Instagram, Carly explains that the condition can be serious, but she is working with a cardiologist. And while it is important to her that she continues to tour, especially with the release of her forthcoming album, Hummingbird, her shows may look a little different.

Carly does ask for grace from her fans, but also encourages anyone who is going through a health issue to stay on top of it.
