The only thing we’ve ever seen Scotty McCreery get riled up about is sports. So when the sweetest singer in country music came down on a member of the audience at his show at the Colorado State Fair, it gets your attention.

From his vantage point on stage, Scotty witnessed a man hit a woman and the show came to an immediate halt as he called out for security. Remaining respectful, he still refers to the man as “sir” and then, aware of possible children in the crowd, he tells him to “get the heck out.”

The irony of an act of violence occurring at his show isn’t wasted on Scotty either as he eventually questions, “At a Scotty McCreery show?” He also says, “Whoever you are, that’s the definition of a coward, hitting a lady.”

And that’s how you take care of business with class.
