First time Grammy-nominee Jelly Roll was totally overwhelmed by his two nominations.

He posted a video on Instagram where he’s obviously been crying for a while and wrote in the caption, “I’m embarrassed to post this but my wife says honesty and rawness got me this far…”

In the video he says he tried to film it seven times and that “I’m not sure if I should post this or not because I’m so emotional, but the greatest honor an artist can ever hear is that they’ve been nominated for a Grammy. I got to hear that this morning.”

He adds that “I haven’t cried like this since my daddy died.” Jelly Roll is up for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Save Me” with Lainey Wilson.
