Jelly Roll was the big winner at the CMT Music Awards. He picked up three trophies — Best Male Video of the Year, Breakthrough Male Video of the Year and CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year, all for his chart-topper “Son of a Sinner.” Lainey Wilson won two awards: Female Video of the Year for her new number-one hit “Heart Like a Truck,” and Collaborative Video of the Year with Hardy for “Wait in the Truck.”
The show opened with a heartfelt plea from co-host Kelsea Ballerini, calling for action against gun violence after the mass shooting at a Nashville school.
