Before doors opened to the public at Garth Brooks’ new Friends in Low Places hot spot in downtown Nashville, the country star and wife Trisha Yearwood welcomed industry and media guests for an exclusive peek into the club’s multi-level venue.
From the moment you walk into Friends in Low Places, you get a scrapbook of Garth’s life. Throughout the honky-tonk, there are Easter eggs that reflect his amazing career throughout the years, including the Stairs to Seven. The stairway, which leads you from floor to floor, feature a photo montage which represent the seven times he was named the CMA Entertainer of the Year.
Seeing Nashville’s need for more meeting and convention space, the third floor of Friends in Low Places has facilities to host private meetings and groups, presentations or intimate parties.
The third floor also boasts a V-I-P area for those who prefer a more elevated honkytonk experience.
Friends in Low Places also features a menu specially curated by the woman of the house, Ms. Yearwood. And while guests can enjoy their bar favorites, like chicken wings and burgers, there are also salads, meat loaf and fried chicken. And you can finish things off with a slice of Garth and Trisha’s wedding cake made from the recipe Trisha’s mother used when she made the confection for their nuptials. Don’t be surprised if Trisha films an episode of her Food Network cooking show there, too.
The top floor, the Oasis, is the only section of the bar for the adults only. But the 21-and-up rooftop spot still offers chicken fingers and fries for the kids-at-heart to enjoy with their beer, wine or cocktails.
Of course, with live music on the menu along with adult beverages and delicious food, the venue boasts state of the art sound and lighting developed by the technical experts who created the multi-dimensional media experience for Garth’s tours throughout the years.
Friends in Low Places officially opened to the public on March 7th.
