EMMYS: The Winners

Succession and The Bear were the biggest winners at Monday night’s 75th Primetime Emmy Awards with six awards each.

Succession was named best Drama Series while acting honors went to stars Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook and Matthew Macfadyen.

The Bear went home best Comedy Series with stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach taking acting trophies. 

Beef was another big winner, walking away with best Limited Series and Lead Actors for Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.

Elton John became an EGOT winner after adding an Emmy to his Grammy, Oscar, and Tony honors. He won in the Variety Special (Live) category for Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium.

RuPaul’s Drag Race won best Reality Competition Program while Last Week Tonight With John Oliver was named best Scripted Variety Series and The Daily Show With Trevor Noah took Variety Talk Series.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the ceremony paid tribute to several classic TV shows throughout the night with reunions from the stars of Cheers, The Sopranos, Ally McBeal and Martin.

In an emotional moment, Christina Applegate, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis, got a standing ovation when she came out to present the first award of the night.
