Elle King is on blast after her appearance at a special Grand Ole Opry show honoring Dolly Parton. In videos on Instagram, and using salty language, Elle admitted that she was “(expletive) hammered” during her set and also said that she didn’t know the lyrics to the Dolly song she was singing (“Marry Me”) or any other songs in Nashville. 

According to USA Today, guests at the event felt the performance was disrespectful and the profane language inappropriate considering the number of children in the audience. An X user and first time Opry visitor who expressed his disappointment at Elle’s behavior received an apology from the Opry.
