Danny Trejo has addressed the wild Fourth of July altercation he was involved in.
In video obtained by TMZ, the Machete star is seen punching a man and throwing a chair at a parade in Los Angeles.
The 80-year-old star says it started when men threw water balloons at his classic car. “I don’t think I would’ve even got out of the car if somebody hadn’t yelled, ‘It’s acid!’ That’s when I got panicked. When I got out of the car — boom! — then a balloon hit me. Then I look up and I see a guy holding [one]. I went over [and said,] ‘What in the hell is wrong with you?'”
After Trejo left his car, he confronted the men who were standing on the sidewalk “before appearing to throw a punch at one man, throwing a chair, and later tumbling off the curb.”
The actor tells TMZ that he “stepped back” and “fell off the curb” after a man tried to grab him.
