Andrew Garfield had a heart-to-heart with Elmo on Friday…and its gotten everyone online teary-eyed. The actor spoke with the “Sesame Street” resident about his mother, Lynn Garfield, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2019.

“I’m just thinking about my mum today…I just miss her. I miss her a lot,” he shared, emphasizing that “it’s okay to miss somebody.” Garfield reflected on the bittersweet nature of sadness, describing it as “kind of a gift” that highlights the love shared with people who have passed.

He cherished the memories of his mother, stating, “When I miss her, I remember it’s because she made me so happy. So I can celebrate her, and I can miss her at the same time.” He also revealed a sweet connection with Elmo…apparently Elmo was her favorite “Sesame Street” resident.
