In her Time Person of the Year interview, Taylor Swift says that she was booted from a Kenny Chesney tour because it was sponsored by a beer company and she was only 17.

She was devastated, but Kenny made it up to her on her 18th birthday with a ginormous check and a note that read, “I’m sorry that you couldn’t come on the tour, so I wanted to make it up to you.” Taylor says, “It was for more money than I’d ever seen in my life. I was able to pay my band bonuses. I was able to pay for my tour buses. I was able to fuel my dreams.”

In the same interview, she shared how she trained for the Eras tour. “Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud. Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs.”
