The Allen County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting our 3rd annual National Night Out at the Allen County Fairgrounds in the Roschman Park area (Shelter House and Pond). This year’s event will run from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
The entire lineup of Sheriff’s Office Teams and Divisions proudly on display to demonstrate their abilities, enhance communication and promote safety. Come see the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Corps, the Mounted Posse, the SWAT Team, Dive Team, Patrol Division and Bomb Squad. We will also be joined by the Perry Township Fire Department and Police Department, the Allen County Emergency Management Agency, the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District and several others. Free food and games will be available, along with kid activities.
We have collaborated again with the great staff of Anytime Fitness (2119 Elida Road, Lima) to host a 5K during our National Night Out event to benefit the Allen County D.A.R.E. program. The 5K will be at the fairgrounds and will begin and end close to Roschman Park. It is tentatively scheduled for a 7:00 PM start time. Registration is $20 for participants 18 and older and $10 for anyone 18 years of age and younger ($5 additional for day-of registrations). Prizes for overall first-, second- and third-place winners. All participants ages 12 and younger who complete the race will receive prizes.
Paper registrations can be downloaded at acso-oh.us, completed, and turned in with payment to Anytime Fitness; 2119 Elida Road; Lima, Ohio 45805. Checks should be made payable to Allen County D.A.R.E.
