Cincinnati Reds announcer Thom Brennaman was caught uttering a homophobic slur while calling the Reds game Wednesday — not realizing his mic was on.
He apologized later but admitted he’ll probably be fired for the gaffe — saying, “I don’t know if I’m gonna be putting on this headset again.”
A clip of the slur went viral on social media.
Brennaman has been calling baseball games since the ’90s and he’s been working with the Reds since 2006.
