MORGAN WALLEN: Consequences for N-Word

For three weeks running, country singer Morgan Wallen has topped the Billboard album chart. That track record did not deter hundreds of radio stations from removing his songs overnight from their playlists. (Variety)
That’s the consequence for Morgan Wallen ushering in Black History Month by uttering a racial slur.
TMZ published a video taken by his Nashville neighbor in the wee hours of Monday morning. Wallen and his squad returned home acting loud and obnoxious. He instructed one of his buddies to look after another guy using language we won’t repeat.
Morgan Wallen issued an apology Tuesday night (quote) “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
It’s been suggested that he puts down the bottle. This incident is the third time in a year that Morgan’s partying has gotten him into hot water. The worst incident, last May, ended in Morgan’s arrest for public intoxication. (TMZ)
