Lil Nas X‘s Stagecoach Country Music Festival performance Friday was full of firsts.
It was his first time at Stagecoach. It was his first time performing “Old Town Road” live with Billy Ray Cyrus. And it was the teenage chart-topper’s first time performing live, well, ever.
Stagecoach is the annual country version of the Coachella Festival, which is also held in Indio California.
The Atlanta rapper with the number-one song in the country for three weeks and counting and long-ago hitmaker Billy Ray joined Diplo‘s Stagecoach set. The performance coincided with the premiere of a new, Diplo remix of the country trap hit, swapping out the banjo and 808s for a more electronic feel.
