KIMBERLY SCHLAPMAN: Writes Children’s Book
Kimberly Schlapman has written a children’s book about her oldest daughter Daisy‘s desire to have a sibling.
Kimberly and her husband Stephen were having trouble conceiving and eventually decided on adoption. During the long adoption process, Daisy wrote a letter to Santa asking for a brother or sister. Kimberly tells People, “[Daisy] never stopped believing and where, at times, my husband and I were discouraged and heartbroken over things not working out, Daisy never gave up.”
The family adopted Dolly Grace right before Christmas 2017.
The book, A Dolly for Christmas, comes out on October 6th. The foreword is written by now 12-year-old Daisy.
