Police in Texas recently had to remind residents that all cars must have license plates… and that they must not be handmade out of cardboard.
Officers pulled over a driver after noticing something unusual about the license plate on his Honda minivan. Unless the Texas DMV started issuing plates made out of cardboard with numbers written in Sharpie, they were pretty sure the driver’s plates were phony. Constable Wayne Thompson shared a photo of the vehicle on Facebook and wrote, “Well, I gave them an ‘A’ for effort, but an ‘F’ on legal. Did you know that TEXAS law requires a front and rear license plate? Real ones…”
