Lucy is a Border Collie mix who’s under a year old. She was hit by a car, severely fracturing her left rear leg. She didn’t get proper medical attention under previous owners and the leg didn’t heal properly. Lucy was surrendered to Deb’s Dogs and the leg was removed to keep Lucy out of pain. However, Lucy is a happy-go-lucky dog, and sweet and nice to full of energy. Consider adopting Lucy today.
Deb’s Dogs is a non profit 501-c-3 organization. They depend on donations and adoption fees to fund their animals’ vet care. Most of the dogs that come into their care from The Allen County Dog Warden Facility. Usually the dogs they take in from the shelter are the ones that need extra attention. The animals may have been neglected, abused or injured. Once Deb’s Dogs takes the dogs they go to the vet for a complete checkup. If they are healthy enough at this time they are vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Sometimes they have to wait awhile for this due to the condition of the animal.
