FIDO FRIDAY: ADOPT “JACKSON”
Meet a very special dog named Jackson! Four and a half-month-old Jackson was found abandoned in a Walmart parking lot. He has cerebral hypoplasia and was probably born with it. As a result, he has trouble with motor skills. When Deb first got him, Jackson couldn’t stand at all. He does run around though, and he gets excited when he’s outside in the grass. He’s about 4 1/2 months old. He will always be special needs. Jackson needs someone who will take good care of him and devote time and patience. Jackson gets along great with people and has the heart of a lion. He has continued to improve since taken in by Deb and her trainer.
Deb’s Dogs is a non profit 501-c-3 organization. They depend on donations and adoption fees to fund their animals’ vet care. Most of the dogs that come into their care from The Allen County Dog Warden Facility. Usually the dogs they take in from the shelter are the ones that need extra attention. The animals may have been neglected, abused or injured. Once Deb’s Dogs takes the dogs they go to the vet for a complete checkup. If they are healthy enough at this time they are vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Sometimes they have to wait awhile for this due to the condition of the animal. To contact Deb’s Dogs call 419-204-6157.
