It isn’t a brand-new song, but many fans may not know Eric Paslay‘s “Heartbeat Higher” when it drops on Friday.

Eric says the song has been around for a while and some fans may have seen him perform it live. He explains, “Now feels like the perfect moment for this song, and sharing this with my friend and co-writer, Sarah Buxton, is a dream realized.”

Sarah was also a co-writer on Keith Urban‘s hit singles “Stupid Boy” and “Put You in a Song.”

 Eric hopes to resume touring this summer before heading to the U.K. in the fall to tour with The Shires.
