There’s a new professional football league out there called the Alliance of American Football, which is allowing football fans to enjoy the game in springtime.
And last weekend, fans who turned out to see the Orlando Apollos battle the Memphis Express were also able to watch the amazing athletic ability of a dog named Eurie, who chased down – and caught – a Frisbee that traveled 83 yards down the field.
The football game was certainly exciting, but the 20,000 fans in the stands offered up the biggest cheer for the catch, which ended up breaking the record for longest Frisbee catch at a live sporting event.
The man behind the throw — Gary Duke — made the record-setting toss into the wind, which was pretty impressive. But, he admits that Eurie did the hard work and that Gary just became a spectator, like everybody else, while Eurie made history down the field. (Orlando Sentinel)
