The nominations for the Billboard Music Awards are in and Gabby Barrett is the country artist in the lead with nine nominations across several categories, including the all-genre New Artist of the Year. 

Morgan Wallen has six nominations but is not invited to the ceremony. 

The awards will be given out on May 23rd on NBC
