Here’s what Andrew had to say about his video:
This morning, I decided to sing this song as a tribute to my fallen badge brothers in Dallas, TX and Baton Rouge, LA, as well as every other member of law enforcement across the nation. Today I pray that God walks with each and every one of you as you continue to serve those who may hate you. I pray that you serve with love and compassion. I pray that you serve bravely. I pray that we all remember what it means to serve. It does not mean you are fearless, for there may be fear, and you may be afraid. It does not mean you must be perfect, for there has only been one to walk the earth and achieve such a goal. Rather, to serve means to act; to offer; to attend; to distribute; to aid; to succor. However, the reason our country’s law enforcement officers stand taller and stronger than those in other nations, is because of one simple component. A component that is found within the name of our great country: United. Today, we must remember this word. Today, the COUNTRY must remember this word. We are the United States of America, and only through this unification can we overcome the obstacles placed before us today. In the final seconds of the song, I ask that you say a prayer for the families of those who have fallen, and for the rest of us who will serve you no matter what.
