Reba McEntire and her mother Jaqueline were inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and Museum in Fort Worth, Texas Tuesday.
Reba says, “Well, I think being inducted into the museum is very, very important. Number one, it represents my heritage. I am a cowgirl at heart. I was raised on a working cattle ranch in southeastern Oklahoma. I’m a third generation rodeo brat. So that, right there, says ‘cowgirl.’ And getting inducted with my mama is the icing on the cake.”
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is the only museum in the world dedicated to honoring and celebrating women, past and present, whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience and independence that helped shape the American West. (KXAS-TV)
