Background: “Vice” is Miranda’s first single off her forthcoming sixth album and the first song she has released since her divorce from Blake Shelton. Miranda co-wrote the song with Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally (who also co-wrote Dierks Bentley‘s latest single, “Different for Girls”).
Going On Now: Miranda wraps up Kenny Chesney‘s Spread the Love tour next month. She was also just named one of Forbes’s highest-earning country artists, raking in $18 million in 2016.
What’s Next: Miranda is on her Keeper of the Flame tour while working on her forthcoming album.
Miranda says, “We all have things in our life that aren’t necessary pleasant to talk about. We can’t all be sunshine and roses every day, and we find things that make us feel better at the moment, and that’s what a vice is.”
