Miranda Lambert has had some emotional shows lately and this weekend was no different. She had just begun singing “The House That Built Me” during her Friday night show in Connecticut, when she spotted something in the crowd that made her stop singing.
Directly in front of the stage stood a soldier, holding a sign that read, “3 combat tours… your voice was the last thing I heard every night. Thank you.” ‘Ran looked at the man in awe, mouthing the word, “Really?” before grabbing the sign to show to the crowd. While sharing it with the rest of her fans, she ended up breaking down into tears.
Miranda let the crowd carry the vocals for the rest of “The House That Built Me,” while she stepped away to grab her drink and wipe her tears.
