Parkinson’s disease can strike anyone at any age. Treatments, support, and exercise groups are available. A local exercise group is beginning on the first Thursday in April and meets weekly from 1 pm to 2 pm. Cost is $100 and you need to be cleared to exercise by your physician, therefore must have a prescription in order to exercise. The support group doesn’t require a prescription and is free to attend. The support groups meets 2 pm to 3 pm. Various topics are discussed related to Parkinson’s and living life to the fullest. Both the exercise and support groups take place in St. Rita’s Auxiliary Center. For more information, call 419-226-9019 or 419-523-5391.
