This morning we again talked to Dr. Anike.  The most important thing to do if you are experiencing chest pain is to call 9-1-1 immediately.

Symptoms include chest pressure, tightness and shortness of breath. By calling 9-1-1, paramedics may begin treatment right in your home, and continue treatment while en route to the hospital to get you the most advanced care available. Most paramedics also have the ability send EKG readings to the Emergency Room prior to your arrival, which allows for the fastest possible follow up response.

When your heart is sick, you become very unstable, making regular vehicle transportation dangerous for you as well as others on the road. For more information, call 419-228-3335 or go to www.limamemorial.org.
