Jason Aldean‘s They Don’t Know reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart over the weekend.
They Don’t Know is Jason’s third consecutive number-one on the Billboard 200 and his sixth top-10 charting album of his career. It is also the first country album to debut at number-one in over a year — since Luke Bryan‘s Kill The Lights debuted on August 29th, 2015. (Billboard)
Jason says this album is different than his last, Old Boots, New Dirt, for several reasons.
Jason Aldean talks about They Don’t Know album: “For me it was really just wanting to get back to what it is that I feel like I do the best. And you know, we got some rock up-tempo anthem type things on there, and then we also have some things that are really cool and a little more country. You know, it’s getting back to the telling stories and just things that I really enjoy.”
This is the first year since 2001 that we waited until a chart dated in October for a country album to top the Billboard 200. That year, Garth Brooks‘ Scarecrow topped the December chart.
