The internet is freaking out about a supermarket in Hong Kong selling a single strawberry … for $22. Yes, one Kotoka strawberry, a delicacy imported from Japan, will run you 22 bucks.
Beyond the price, people are none too happy about the excessive packaging. Seems the single strawberry sits atop a bed of pink Styrofoam and synthetic straw, inside a cardboard box, which is also wrapped in plastic.
