Who says cross-country isn’t a contact sport? A college race in Pennsylvania turned into a football game when runners were tackled by a herd of deer.

Teams were competing in an NCAA Division 3 meet when the deer ran across an open field and slammed into at least one runner.┬áJustin DeLuzio was hit so hard he was sent airborne, but luckily wasn’t badly injured and finished the race with the help of a teammate. It was also his last collegiate cross-country race and one he will never forget. And if he does forget it, there’s a video of the incident to remind him. (NBC Philadelphia)
