FRIDAY FAIL: Deer Crossing
Who says cross-country isn’t a contact sport? A college race in Pennsylvania turned into a football game when runners were tackled by a herd of deer.
Teams were competing in an NCAA Division 3 meet when the deer ran across an open field and slammed into at least one runner. Justin DeLuzio was hit so hard he was sent airborne, but luckily wasn’t badly injured and finished the race with the help of a teammate. It was also his last collegiate cross-country race and one he will never forget. And if he does forget it, there’s a video of the incident to remind him. (NBC Philadelphia)
