Florida Georgia Line premiered the video for its new single “May We All” in New York City last night (Monday).
In the clip, Tyler and Brian play race car-driving brothers who come to blows before a big race. During the race, Tyler’s car crashes and Brian rushes in to pull him out of the fiery wreckage. Brian says that while he and Tyler did most of the acting, they used stunt doubles in the more dangerous scenes.
Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line says they used stunt doubles in some of the scenes:
“For the most part it was just me and Tyler. The drivers drove and we were doing a green screen on most of the driving. But when I was getting him out of the car and the blow up scene, if you will, that was me and some of the stunt doubles.”
The video, which co-stars Tim McGraw, plays like a mini-movie and gave the guys their first real taste of acting.
Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line hopes more acting opportunities will come their way:
“I think the opportunities will present themselves and doors will open, hopefully with this video. It’s a great opportunity for both of us to work with Tim, being it was the first time doing any major acting, I guess, if you will. It’s great to work with him. He’s a great role model for, honestly all areas of life.”
The premiere took place on Ellis Island, which served as a gateway for immigrants coming to America between 1892 to 1954 — a perfect tie-in for the duo’s new album, Dig Your Roots.
