Elle King was named to the “worst dressed” list at this year’s Country Music Association Awards ceremony.
Apparently, critics weren’t a fan of her fringed red and gold bustier and pants number. But she loved it and was a little hurt by the diss. She tells People, “I was upset. It’s really silly, though, because people shouldn’t…but then if I got ‘Best Dressed,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘People shouldn’t be judged!’ But I thought it was silly because I really loved my outfit. I thought it was so fun.”
Perhaps the trophy she won with Dierks Bentley for their collaboration, “Different for Girls” eased the pain.
