Keeping up with the black-and-white motif featured in other music videos for songs from his Black album, Dierks Bentley has released the video for his single “Different for Girls” featuring Elle King. The video, which debuted on NBC’s Today show, depicts the contrasting ways a boy and a girl get over a heart-wrenching breakup.
The song is incredible, but it was definitely an unexpected choice for Dierks’s next single. It wasn’t until he saw and heard fans’ reactions to it that he decided it was the one.
“I don’t wanna put something out unless it’s taking some sort of chance, some sort of risk, saying something new, pushing something different at least. I love putting out stuff that’s a little unexpected. If it’s a good thing to be nervous, then I definitely chose the right song because I’ve been nervous ever since we decided to make this a single.”
