It was a pretty exciting day for many country stars who woke up to find out that they were nominated for Academy of Country Music Awards.

ACM Awards front-runner Keith Urban reacted to his seven nominations. He said, “I’ve been a musician since I was six years old. I just love writing songs, making records and touring. So for the ACMs to recognize Ripcord in such a big way today is humbling. I share these nominations with everyone in my life who made it possible — and a BIG shout-out to all of our fans, who came out to see us on the Ripcord tour. Can’t wait to play for you all again soon.”

Jason Aldean, who is up for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, tweeted, “Pretty cool waking up to this news today! Thank You Fans, Country Radio and ACM Awards.

Florida Georgia Line tweeted, “Completely blown away and honored to be nominated for five ACM Awards this morning. Feeling grateful and blessed. Love y’all.

Thomas Rhett is pretty excited to grab multiple nominations. He tweeted, “There are no words. ACM nominations for Male vocalist AND song of the year. What’s good, 2017!”

Kelsea Ballerini is thrilled to be up for Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year for “Peter Pan.” She tweets, “So, so so amazing!”

Fresh off her Grammy on Sunday, Maren Morris tweeted, “As if this week couldn’t get any better, SIX nominations for the ACM Award?! This is so humbling and I am in some GREAT company.”

Kacey Musgraves picked up a Female Vocalist of the Year nomination. She tweeted, “So grateful for my ACM nomination! Proud to be a woman and to have the opportunity to use my creative voice! THANKS, Y’ALL!”

Dan and Shay are pretty excited about the Vocal Duo of the Year nod. They wrote on Twitter, “Another ACM nom! Freaking out right now y’all!”

Maddie and Tae tweeted about their ACM nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year: “Vegas, here we come!”

Lady Antebellum, who announced some of the nominations on CBS This Morning tweeted, “Aahhhhhh! Thanks for the nom.”

Kane Brown tweeted his excitement about his first nomination, “Thank you ACM for the nomination for New Male Vocalist!!

Chris Janson is thrilled to be in the New Male Vocalist category. He tweeted, ‘Wow!! This is huge! Thanks, Jesus, fans, industry and& team. WOW”

Chris Lane tweeted about his New Male Vocalist nomination, “Truly blown away by this!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped nominate me!! Feeling grateful”

Jon Pardi documented his excitement of his New Male Vocalist nomination via video on social media, and says, “Getting nominated is amazing. It’s a great feeling. I stuck to being myself and who I wanted to be and not change. To be recognized for that is awesome. It’s a great feeling.”
Brandy Clark tweeted about her New Female Vocalist nomination, “Thanks ACMawards for a reason to go to Las Vegas!!!!!”

Lauren Alaina got emotional when she heard about her nomination for New Female Vocalist.  She says, “I’ve been waiting, I guess five years for a nomination at the ACMs and I am so excited and so thankful and so humbled by the industry to get into this category. It means so much to me.”

A Thousand Horses were excited to be nominated in the New Vocal Group of the Year category. They tweeted, “Wow! So honored to be nominated for the #ACMs New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year… thanks y’all.

Big and Rich claimed a nomination in the Vocal Duo of the Year category. John Rich said, “We have deep gratitude to the folks in our industry who voted for us for ‘Duo of the Year.’ We are in great company in this category, and appreciate all the support we continue to receive from our fans and country radio! Here’s to having a ‘Big and Rich Time’ in 2017!” Big Kenny said, “What a great morning! It’s fantastic to be nominated and be in the game representing what is the best of country music! It’s so good to be a part of that big celebration!”

The 52nd ACM Awards hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on April 2nd.
